New Employee Ethics Orientation

The Ethics in Government Act requires an agency to provide an initial ethics orientation to employees new to the agency.  The National Institutes of Health (NIH) fulfills this training requirement via a web-based training module.

All regular Government employees new to the NIH are required to complete the New Employee Ethics Orientation on-line training module within 90 days after starting work at the NIH.

To complete the training, click on "Proceed to New Employee Ethics Orientation" below. On the next screen, enter your NIH user ID and password and click on "Log in". When you complete the training, an email is automatically sent to the contact person in your IC Ethics Office. At the end of the training, you may view and print the certificate. Please send a copy of your certificate to your IC's Ethics Office

Note: Only regular Government employees may login to this training module. If you see the message indicating that the training is for regular Government employees only, then you are not designated as a regular Government employee in the NIH directory. You may complete the module for non-employees. Please contact your IC's Ethics Office if you have questions.
